Romeo and Juliet

It hurts to love someone and not be loved in return....

La douleur exquise: “The heart-wrenching pain of wanting someone you can’t have. Even a Sex in the City episode was named after it!”

What if the person you secretly love is in love with someone else

This is a pretty simple assignment. Here is a link to the assignment,  Make The Untranslatable Understood. Drama attracts any age group. I want to get  my K-12 involved in their readings, specially with plays like Romeo and Juliet.

How I Edited this Image for the Assignment:

First I searched for an image of painful love on Google. Then I opened Pixlr and copied the image i founded on Google to Pixlr. Then I used the text tool to insert the text onto the image. I then saved the image by going to file and clicking save for web and devices and uploaded the image to edtech.

  1. Trust the french for coming up with words about love. I guess “La douleur exquise” is pretty common although from the looks of the picture its the guy whose crying!! I think its a great start for a study of Romeo and Juliet.

  2. i saw that episode! so sad when the one you love doesn’t love you back, oh well move on. this would be a great thing to do with high school students.

  3. I love this image. Relationships should not stress anyone out. If a relationship is stressing you out, then you need to get up and leave! In a relationship, each person should be giving 50%. Yes, I call myself the RELATIONSHIP GURU…LOL!
