Newton’s three laws of motion

I chose three videos which demostrated Newton’s three laws of motion, I narrated where necessary and I gave an example of what the final assignment can look like in which all three laws of motion are demonstrated in a single video. I am trying to encourage creativity, hence, the rap video and animation.

For this video, I used a program called Snagit which records your computer screen. I uploaded the video in Windows Live Movie Maker, edited it and added a picture and title. I then uploaded this video to youtube.

Most Memorable Moments!!!K12

Time passes by but we hold our moments in the frame of picture. I would ask my students for their final project to create a movie with their most memorable pictures. The tools that they would be using are: Windows movie maker, AVS video editor and etc. Additionally, they would create two power-point slides. On the first slide, they would write why the pictures are memorable to them. On second slide, I would want them to put all the pictures together.

The reason why I choose this project for the students is because I want them to collect their memories together and share with their friends on online. Also, by using technology, students could keep their pictures safe and their memories will remain vivid as they grow up. My intention for this project is to get to know the students better, how they grew up, what are their capacities, and their hidden skills. This particular project would help the students and teachers as well. Student will get to know find out what are they actually good at doing..

My video would be a example of how they would do their project.

I have created a video with AVS video editing..everything is done with AVS. I had to record the PowerPoint slide with iPhone then transferred to AVS.

Enjoy the chipmunks 😛

Watch this video and look better on your picture!!

It’s been always a curiosity to me, how model’s face looks immaculate on their photos. I have been looking for tools to identify the hidden truth. This tutorial video shows how Photoshop can change your facial look just clicking the cursor. I have made this video with just simply with my iPhone. First, I have chosen a picture of a model then changed her facial look with the photoshop makeup.

Welcome to Biology ..

  • This Biology assignment can be for grade level k-12.
  • First, select an image of your choice that best describes you as a student in order for me to better know you. Next you will edit the image and put a number on it that also represents you as a student. Explain how your image and the number relates to you.

I got this image from Flickr and i edited the picture in pixIr. This picture best represents me because since i will be a Biology teacher i will be working with the microscope and slides during the lab section. The number 908 i consider my lucky number. I always see it – maybe its a sign for me to play and i will win the lotto.

Story View : Science Classroom #2

Assignment : Dig through Google Maps Street View to find an interesting setting for your story. Let your imagination go wild and tell the story of what occurred in that space. Relate that story to a specific time in Geological History, How did it occur? What are some hypothesis for this creation. What are some rocks that exist in that area, and what are some famous formations.

Rock Types Found on Main Trail

  • Igneous
    • None
  • Metamorphic
    • Dolomitic marble
    • Schistose marble
    • Gneiss
  • Sedimentary
    • None
Rock Units

  • Stockbridge marble
  • Basal Marble Member of Wallomsac Schist
Minerals of Interest

  • Garnets
Interesting Geologic Features

  • Waterfall
  • Potholes

The most obvious feature at Kent Falls is, of course, the falls. Actually, they are a series of falls and cascades. Multiple falls and cascades, such as these, generally form where the bedrock contains alternating hard and soft layers. This part of Connecticut was once made of coral reefs, offshore from the northwestern part of the state. As the Iapetos Ocean closed when Europe and Africa moved our way, these reefs were squeezed and buried under other rock. With increasing heat and pressure, the minerals in these rocks recrystallized, and the former coral reefs turned to marble. Sand and mud around the reefs formed the impurities in the marble that cause some layers to be more resistant to the effects of the flowing water.

Obesity

Obesity today is one of the major concerns affecting our society and no one is realizing that  something needs to be done. We all should start eating healthier and be more active so the population does not increase. This image will make a better understanding for students  to realize what obesity is and looks like.

Your Imagination

Building Our Vocabulary

I want my student’s to build their vocabulary. This will help them build their personality as well their language.

Since I am going to teach English Literature, I am going to have my K-12 students create a slide show of vocabulary words. My students would have to use vocabulary words they learned through out their readings  and use Powerpoint; insert images to help explain the vocabulary words to a group of ESL students to build on to their language.

“It’s like learning a language; you can’t speak a language fluently until you find out who you are in that language, and that has as much to do with your body as it does with vocabulary and grammar.”

Involvement

I don’t want my students just reading literature, I want them to engage with what they are reading whether it’s through imagination or emotional involvement. Students will be able to grasp the main idea of their reading better through imagination and actually getting involved in what they read. This will not only help them become better readers but also better writers.

I am going to do a creative session, where I will ask my K-12 students to write their own drama in a group of five and present it to their class. Students can either video tape themselves and show their video in class or they can act out the the drama in person to the class.
